Parota coffee table with black epoxy resin and steel frame in a modern living room
Workshop in Tijuana, B.C.

Custom parota and epoxy river tables, made to your measure

Hand-picked parota slabs, epoxy resin rivers in the color you choose, and steel bases sized for your room. Dining, coffee, conference or patio.

The wood

Parota has plenty of grain. We just let it show.

Parota, also known as guanacaste, is a wide-trunked tropical tree native to Mexico. Its wood pairs a reddish heartwood with pale sapwood, and that contrast makes every slab different.

We work with live-edge slabs: the natural edge of the trunk stays, and cracks, knots and voids are filled with epoxy resin. The result is one continuous, sealed surface ready for daily use.

FAQ

Questions we hear most

What is parota wood?

Parota, also called guanacaste (Enterolobium cyclocarpum), is a tropical tree from Mexico. Its wood has reddish heartwood, pale sapwood and bold grain, which is why it's used for live-edge tables.

What is an epoxy river table?

It's a table that combines wood slabs with epoxy resin. The resin is poured between two slabs to form a river, or fills cracks and voids in the wood. It can be clear, colored or hold encapsulated stones.

Do you make custom-size tables?

Yes. Every table is made to order: you choose length, width, shape, resin color, base style and finish.

Do you deliver outside Tijuana?

Yes. We deliver to San Diego, Mexicali, Ensenada and Rosarito. Delivery cost is included in your quote.

How long does a table take?

It depends on the size, the slab and the resin curing time. We give you the delivery date together with your quote.

How do I care for a parota and resin table?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap, use coasters for hot items, and avoid long exposure to direct sunlight.
